What to Do When Facebook Dating Goes Wrong—Their Picture Isn’t Theirs

11 Aug

This is yet another problem you might encounter while Facebook dating—but it’s not as bad as you might think and it’s easily worked through. So, what steps should you take when you find out that the person whom you’ve been dating on Facebook is using a fake picture?

Look Over the Source

First of all, who told you that the person you’re dating on Facebook is using a fake profile? Is it an ex? How about a Facebook dater that you blew off? You see where this is going. Maybe it’s a Facebook dater that your Facebook dating buddy blew off. Think this over before you believe that your girlfriend or boyfriend is using a fake pic. Maybe they aren’t the person using the fake picture…maybe they’re using their own picture and someone stole it from them! The point? Don’t assume that the person whom you’re dating on Facebook is a fake just because someone said they are.

Talk to Them

Talk to your Facebook dating buddy. See what they have to say. Or you could ask them for a “sign” to see if they are really them or if they might be a fake. Most people dating on Facebook do use their own pictures—they have no reason not to. If you do find out for sure that they don’t use their own pictures while Facebook dating, you need to find out what’s going on.

Decide What You’re Going to Do

You can either believe the Facebook dater—or Facebook daters who talked to you or you can believe the person you’re dating on Facebook. It’s up to you. Maybe you’re still fond of their personality and so you decided to stick with them anyways. Maybe looks don’t matter and so you’ve decided to continue dating on Facebook with that person. It’s up to you—but be prepared to decide if this Facebook dating issue does come up.
