Project friend: date tonight!

Hi guys,

I’m a little unmotivated for dating on Facebook myself these days, so I’m helping a friend hook up with some girls via Facebook. Might as well spread the good word!

First, we updated his profile picture and then he started browsing using “are you interested”. He started talking to some girls already and as a matter of fact he is going on a date tonight. The first one!

And this is what I wanted to share, as I’ve had quite a few emails from guys asking how to break the ice – because it IS a bit weird to meet on Facebook.

What I do, and what I advised my friend to do, is to meet up somewhere. Okay, that’s not very original, but the first thing you say is:

YOU: Hi! Wau, nice to finally meet you. I really, really hope that you’re normal – I mean, you sounded sweet but hey – it’s facebook alright! I had this crazy girl writing me weird messages, so I was a bit reluctant to do it. But I think we’ll be fine!

And the beauty of this opener is: she has received 100s of weird emails on Facebook – so she will start talking about them all and this will be hilarious.

Also, by saying you had someone stalk you, you show value – showing that other women want you will make her accept you.

My friend is on tonight and he has been practicing this all day. I think he’s a bit nervous and why wouldn’t he be?

I mean, it is dating on Facebook and it really is a little weird
