Helping a friend get a date – part 1

17 Aug

Hey guys,

Hope your online dating on Facebook is going alright – I’ve been helping out a friend who wanted to pimp his profile for facebooking (I guess you could call it that!) so I’ll post some as we make our way through this project.

He was at my place the other night and the first adjustments we did were all according to the good old dating guide:

  1. Profile photo

  2. Photo albums

  3. About me/ looking for.

This is easy to forget, but very important.

My friend had a serious looking profile photo. That’s no good. So, we went looking for a photo that girls like for online dating: smiling, happy, around people and preferably around girls.

Most people ignore this but it is GOLD: if girls see you have fun with and are entertaining OTHER women – they take that as a sign of approval. First one done and we moved on to point number 2.

Second, we uploaded a few photo albums to add more power to his physical aspect – and the best ones we made profile photos.

What happens is that you click somebodys photo and from there you just click through all profile photos – so we want a handful of good ones in there. Now that we have more photos, remember to include some of you doing sports as well. Stay away from “Duck face photos” and overly pretentious ones.

Then, a very important step:

He had his “looking for” set to “dating” – that’s like telling a girl you’re desperate.

Change that to: friendship/ networking and disable relationship status.

I hooked him up with are you interested – and told him to browse facebook fan pages for action.

I’ll let you know how he does!
