Compare HOTNESS

The Compare HOTNESS application is an app that’s gaining popularity on Facebook.

I have been testing it the last couple of weeks and ther are some obvious CONS – and some obvious PROS.

What I like about this dating application, which is basically is, is that you can contact the other members! Now, this is something our friends at “are u interested” should pick up on – please – and it works fairly well.

The girls seem to be a bit younger – and my guess is that it’s down to the nature of the application: using comparing hotness is just not serious and it’s very insecure to seek that approval and you will have a lot of young and more, well, insecure girls in the mix. Now, that doesn’t have to be a disadvantage…

On the CON side, I find that the number of users is still too low. And the app is still not professional enough – purely based on looks – to gain more market share. Sorry, compare hotness, but I don’t think you’ll be the new “are u interested”! This is 2010 is if you want to compete in the facebook market, you just have to be more professional: design, GUI and that have work better.

About the younger girls… I found out that my hit rate was lower – I had to send out more emails – but the girls that I ended going out with were seriously hot. But it was a totally different game. Totally. Less cocky because they got scared. More sweet talking because they are so insecure that they just crave that soo much. I’ll post a de-brief one of the days to come, look out for it.

So, bottom line: fun to try, different crowd but compare hotness will never be my favorite online dating tool for meeting facebook girls. I will, however, keep it in the portfolio for the times where I feel like a bite of the dish that it so significantly offers
