“Accidentally” Meet Up

Hopefully you are lucky and you find a girl or guy that uses the Facebook to tell the world exactly where they are at all times.  This is perfect because you can get together a few friends and “accidentally” bump into each other.

Make sure you have a story lined up and your prepared when she/he asks “what are you doing here?”.  If you don’t show up prepared you run the risk of looking like a stalker.  I’m a big fan of “checking in” on facebook.  I like the whole world to know exactly where I am at all times.  Well only if its somewhere fun.  I’m not going to post all over facebook that I’m eating at McDonalds.

Now what?  You there at the same bar/restaurant/club that your facebook crush is at, what do you do?  It really depends on the type of relationship you have built up.  If you’ve been talking for awhile you should have no problem going right up to them.  However, if you barely started talking you should maybe comment on the status and say “my friends and I just got here, come say hi.  We’re at the bar” for example.  Make the other person try to look for you.

Also, make sure you are putting off an approachable vibe.  Look up, smile and talk to the people around you.  Look like you are having a ton of fun and believe me it will make them want to come and say hi.  Nothing is worse than seeing some poor, depressed shmuck drowning his/her sorrows away in a drink.

If you don’t see them that night don’t worry just send the person a nice friendly message saying something like “looks like we were both at WHATEVERthePLACEis, next time we should go there together”.  Its the perfect icebreaker!
